Following a 1-1 draw in their La Liga opener, Real Madrid returned to winning form with a 3-0 victory over Valladolid. Federico Valverde (50′), Brahim Diaz (88′), and Endrick (90+6′) netted second-half goals. However, Kylian Mbappe remained in the spotlight yet again but failed to score, continuing his search for his first La Liga goal for Madrid.

Starting as the centre-forward, the Frenchman took four shots, with only one on target, but did not manage to score. He was substituted in the 87th minute, and 18-year-old Endrick, who replaced him, went on to score the third goal.
