The Indian team management is prioritizing a full recovery for fast bowler Mohammed Shami, aiming to have him fit and ready for the five-match Test series against Australia later this year. Despite progress in his rehabilitation following ankle surgery in February, Shami’s return for next month’s home series against Bangladesh is highly unlikely as he continues to focus on his fitness.
