On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, the ICC decided to move the Women’s T20 World Cup from Bangladesh to the UAE. The decision came after several participating countries’ governments advised against traveling to Bangladesh due to ongoing unrest. The tournament, featuring teams including India and scheduled for October 3 to 20, will now be held in Dubai and Sharjah. Despite the relocation, Bangladesh will retain hosting rights and receive its share of the revenue.
