The Paris 2024 Olympics concluded with a star-studded closing ceremony at the Stade de France. While France showcased its iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and the Palace of Versailles, Los Angeles captivated the audience with its A-list stars. The ceremony featured performances by Grammy-winning R&B singer H.E.R., who delivered a powerful rendition of the US national anthem, and a gravity-defying stunt by Tom Cruise. IOC President Thomas Bach praised the Games as “sensational from start to finish” and called for “a culture of peace” in a world facing multiple conflicts. He reminded the world that while the Olympics cannot create peace, they can inspire it.
