Initially, the verdict was expected by Saturday at 9:30 PM IST, but it has now been delayed. In a chaotic turn of events on Saturday, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) first announced that the verdict would be out on Sunday, August 11, but later clarified that the outcome will be known by August 13. Vinesh Phogat had appealed to the CAS after being disqualified from the women’s 50kg freestyle final at the Olympic Games for being 100 grams overweight.
