Mens Hockey Bronze medal match:Harmanpreet Singh converted two penalty corners to lead India to a 2-1 victory over Spain in the men’s hockey bronze medal match at the Paris Olympics 2024, held at Stade Yves-du-Manoir. This win secured India’s second consecutive Olympic medal, following their bronze in Tokyo three years ago, marking the first time in 52 years that India has achieved back-to-back Olympic hockey medals. The last time India accomplished this was in 1968 and 1972. Veteran goalkeeper PR Sreejesh, playing his final match for India, made exceptional saves to deny Spanish captain Marc Miralles from penalty corners. The Indian team swarmed Sreejesh after the final whistle, celebrating a memorable farewell for the 36-year-old.
