India vs Australia , Men’s Hockey:The Indian hockey team achieved a historic milestone by defeating Australia 3-2 in their final men’s hockey Pool B match of the Paris Olympics 2024 on Friday. This victory marks the first time India has beaten Australia in hockey at the Olympics since 1972. For India, Abhishek and Harmanpreet Singh (who scored twice) contributed to the score, while Thomas Craig and Blake Govers scored for Australia. With this win, India (10 points from 5 matches) has risen to the second spot in Pool B. Belgium leads the pool, while Australia is in third place. India started the campaign with a win against New Zealand, drew against Argentina, and then beat Ireland.
